Promoting Peace Among a Divided Nation through Music

In Burundi and in the whole Continent of Africa, music brings together thousands of people who come to meet, listen, learn and dance together. With the help of musical instruments and a sound system, we are able to gather thousands of people who receive our message about building peace among ourselves, in our community and in our society.

We live in a world of fear, greed and violence, where peace and happiness are a matter of choice.

With “Umuhuza Singing Team”, we reach thousands of Burundians and people living in Great Lakes Region, with a message of hope, reconciliation and peace that millions of Burundians and people living in Great Lakes Region need today. Through this project, we will be able to reach all sectors of the community and people, despite their ages and background.

Music helps create a positive environment and a place that works for all. Yes, our mission is to help the people of Burundi and Great Lakes Region, build a society that works for all. From the experiences of millions of people around the planet, it is very well known that "People who make music together can not be enemies, at least not while the music lasts."
